Types of W in Arabic

أنواع الواو في اللغة العربية :

1- واو الحال

هي الواو الداخلة على جملة اسمية أو فعلية مسبوقتين بمعرفة

مثال : زارني أخي وهو مسرور

2- واو المعية

وهي الواو التي بمعنى ( مع )

مثال : سرت والليل

3- واو الإشباع

هي الواو الواقعة بعد ضمير الرفع ( التاء المتحركة ) أو بعد ضمير النصب ( كاف الخطاب ) أو ضمير نصب

مثال :هل أديتم الواجب وفهمتموه ؟ وهل ناقشناكموه؟

4- الواو الزائدة

هي أحد حروف الزيادة المجموعة في قولك سألتمونيها )

5- واو العطف

هي الواو العاطفة جملة على جملة أو العاطفة مفردا على مفرد

مثال: محمد حاضر وعلي غائب ، حضر محمد وفهد

6- واو الاستئناف ( واو الابتداء )

هي الواو الواقع بعدها جملة لا علاقة لها بما قبلها معنى وإعرابا

مثال: ثم قضى أجلا وأجل مسمى

7- واو ربّ

هي الواو التي بمعنى ( رب ) وهي حرف جر للنكرات

مثال : وليل كموج البحر أرخى سدوله # علي بأنواع الهموم ليبتلي

8- الواو التي حسب ما قبلها

هي الواقعة في بداية البيت الشعري إذا أتى وحده

مثال : وأخفت أهل الشرك حتى إنه # لتخافك النطف التي لم تُخلق

9- واو الجماعة

هي ضمير يتصل بالأفعال

مثال : المسلمون سينتصرون

10- واو الأسماء الخمسة

هي علامة رفع الأسماء الخمسة

مثال : قدم أبوك

11- واو القسم

هي حرف جر دالة على قسم

مثال : والسماء والطارق

12- واو الجزاء

هي الواو التي ينصب الفعل المضارع بعدها بـ ( أن ) المضمرة جوازا

مثال : قراءتك للكتب وتستفيد خير لك من اللهو

13- واو الثمانية

هي الواو التي يقع بعدها كلمة دالة على العدد ثمانية

مثال : " حتى إذا جاؤوها وفتحت أبوابها "

14- واو الفصل

هي محصورة في هذه الكلمات

مثال : ( عمرو ، أولاء ، أولئك , أولي , أولو ، أولات )

15- واو جمع المذكر السالم

هي علامة رفع جمع المذكر السالم

مثال : حضر المعلمون

16-واو الأصداغ:

وهي واو تزين الجملة وتوضح معناها ،

ولولاها قد ينقلب المعنى ..

قيل أن أبا بكر الصديق رأى عند أعرابي ثوبا ، فقال : هل تبيعه ؟

فقال الأعرابي : لا يرحمك الله .

فقال له الصديق : قل لا ويرحمك الله .

وقيل أن مثل ذلك حدث مع عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه

عندما سأل عن شيء

فأجيب بقول القائل : لا أطال الله بقائك .

فقال له عمر : ويحك ألا تقول : لا و أطال الله بقائك .

فاحرص على واو الأصداغ وحبرها، خاصة عند الدعاء بعد نافية ،

حتى لا يفهم عنك غير قصدك،

وقل : لا و يرحمك الله

أو قل : لا وجزاك الله خيرا ..

أما عن سبب تسمية ( واو الأصداغ):

كانت الجواري في ذلك الزمن، يَتَزّيّن لسادتهن، ولأنفسهن في محافلهن، فإنهن يُضفرن شعورهن... بحيث تنزل منه على خدودهن خصل معقوفة مدببة بشكل واوات، فيكون للمرأة منظر بهي، تَسُرُّ به مالكها أو بعلها.. ويكون محل تلك الواوات العجيبة في الأصداغ والخدد. فيقول الصاحب بن عباد ـ رحمه الله ـ إن واو عمر تلك... في إحكامها، وتمكن محلها، واستغناء واضعها بها عن كلام، وحُسْن رونقها.. لأجمل ـ والله، من واوات النساء الجميلات المزينات بشعورهن...
